RENAULT GIVEN 2 YEAR SUSPENDED BAN
The FIA have handed Renault a two years suspended ban from F1 for its involvement in the Singapore race fixing scandal. Flavio Briatore has been handed a lifetime ban from the sport whilst Pat Symonds has been banned from working in any FIA sanctioned event for five years.

WILLIAMS PLANNING TO RUN KERS IN 2010
Williams Technical Director Sam Michael has said that the team are still developing their KERS system with a view to using it in 2010. This is despite FOTA voluntarily agreeing to stop using the system next. Williams KERS uses a flywheel based system and was tested by the team in 2008 but not used by the team this year.

BMW have today completed the sale of their F1 team to Qadbak Investments Ltd, a Swiss-based foundation which represents the interests of certain Middle East and European based families. Qadbak´s interest in the team will be represented by Lionel Fischer, a Swiss national.
