RENAULT TO APPEAR BEFORE FIA ON 17TH AUGUST
The FIA have announced that the International Court of Appeal will meet to hear Renault's appeal on the 17th August. Renault were suspended from the European Grand Prix after a botched pit stop saw Fernando Alonso losing a wheel.

Michael Schumacher has confirmed that he will return to Formula One in Valencia as substitute for the injured Felipe Massa. The seven-time world champion retired from F1 in 2006.

BMW have announced that they will withdraw from Formula One at the end of 2009. At a press conference this morning, BMW Chairman Dr Norbert Reithofer said that the decision was based upon a refinement of the company's future strategy

HENRY SURTEES 1991-2009
Henry Surtees, son of former F1 champion John Surtees, has died after being hit by a stray rear wheel at Brands Hatch today. Surtees was airlifted to hospital but died later. Sutton Motorsport Images send their condolences to Henry's family.
