SCHUMACHER TO MAKE F1 RETURN
Mercedes GP have announced that they have signed seven time F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher. Schumacher, who will be 41 in January, has signed a three-year deal with the Brackley-based team.

Mercedes GP has secured the Malaysian Petronas oil company as title sponsor from 2010 onwards. Petronas previously sponsored the BMW team.

ROME GRAND PRIX?
Reports are suggesting that a deal has been concluded for a Rome Grand Prix to be held on the streets of the Italian capital in either 2012 or 2013. Former F2 race winner Maurizio Flammini is the organizer of the race.

Renault F1 has sold a majority stake in the team to Genii Capital, run by Luxembourg-based businessman Gerard Lopez. Renault will retain a 25% stake in the team.

RENAULT TO CONTINUE IN F1 IN 2010
It has been reported that the Renault name will continue in F1 in 2010, after the team agreed a deal to secure its future. Both businessman Gerard Lopez and Prodrive boss David Richards were in talks to buy the team, and an official announcement is expected next week.
