MCLAREN TO START 2008 WITH POINTS PENALTY?
F1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone has hinted at the possibility of McLaren starting the 2008 with a points penalty should their new car feature designs influenced by Ferrari. The 2008 McLaren will be probed by the FIA for any Ferrari influence.

CRB TO DECIDE GLOCK'S F1 FUTURE
F1's Contract Recognition Board is set to make an imminent decision on the future of GP2 Series champion Timo Glock. Glock appears to have deals with two F1 teams, BMW Sauber and Toyota, with the Japanese team apparently having signed the German for a 2008 race seat.

MCLAREN TO PARTNER FIRSTBEAT
The McLaren F1 team are to partner Firstbeat Technologies for the 2008-10 seasons as part of their Human Performance Program. Firstbeat develop high-end training and recovery monitoring tools for athletes and has already partnered McLaren in 2007. "Top athletes need to avoid becoming overstressed. Firstbeat methods have proven as a valuable way of measuring stress and recovery in practice”, said McLaren's Dr. Aki Hintsa.
