TURKISH GP OFFICIALS HANDED $5 MILLION FINE
The FIA have handed the Turkish GP officials with a $5 million fine, the largest sum awarded in motorsport history. They were found to have broken podium protocol when Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, was introduced as the ‘President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus’ – a state recognised only by Turkey.

FIA DELAY AERO CHANGES UNTIL 2009
The FIA and F1 teams have agreed to defer changes to the aero regulations until 2009. F1 technical chiefs were not convinced the Centreline Downwash Generating wing (CDG wing) would work and will propose another solution.
