Leading F1 drivers are to lobby for safety car rule changes in today's briefing after occasions where backmarkers have interfered with restarts. The drivers are asking for a similar system that occurs in US racing whereby backmarkers are waved through.

A painting of Giancarlo Fisichella by F1 artist Jill Bradley has been sold to Flavio Briatore for £25,000 at the F1 Party in London. The painting is one of her celebrated "Face of Formula One" collection and the money raised will benefit the Great Ormond Street childrens hospital.
