F1 TEAMS FOUND GUILTY BY FIA
The seven teams that refused to take the start of the US GP have been found guilty of bringing F1 into disrepute on two counts and not guilty on three. The FIA will not reveal their penalties until September 14th.

MICHELIN TO REFUND INDY FANS
Michelin are to contribute to the costs incurred by Indianapolis F1 race fans. The French tyre manufacturer has voluntarily agreed to this and has also offered to buy 20,000 tickets for the 2006 race to be distributed to fans who attended this years race.

TOYOTA TO WITHDRAW FROM IRL
Toyota are to pull out of the IRL IndyCar Series at the end of 2006. Toyota are currently one of three engine suppliers to the series along with Honda and Chevrolet. They have won the Indy 500 and a drivers championship with Scott Dixon.

QUESTIONS RAISED OVER FERRARI TYRE WARMERS
There is fresh controversy in F1 after questions were raised about Ferrari's new tyre warmers. The tyre is encased in a box that heats both the tyre and the wheel rim and has been passed as legal by the FIA. However, other teams claim the boxes contravene the rules.

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has recently been resurfaced with a diamond cut groove, one part of the problem for the Michelin tyres at last weekends US Grand Prix.

The FIA has charged the seven Michelin F1 teams with serious accusations of bringing the sport into disrepute and have summoned them to Paris to explain why they boycotted the US Grand Prix. The meeting will take place on the 29 June.
