WHELDON WINS INDY 500
Dan Wheldon has become the first Englishman to win the Indy 500 since Graham Hill took victory in 1966. Starting from 16th on the grid, Wheldon took the lead from Danica Patrick during the last ten laps. The win was also the first for Andretti Green Racing.

PATRICK MAKES HISTORY AT INDY
Danica Patrick has made history by being the highest placed female finisher in Indy 500 history. After a very eventful race that saw her involved in a stall and an accident she led the race in the final stages but finally finished fourth. Patrick was supported by Sutton Motorsport Images in her early career.

FINAL LAP CRASH FOR KIMI
Kimi Raikkonen spectacularly crashed out of the lead of the European GP on the final lap after a heavily worn front tyre broke the suspension on his McLaren. Raikkonen was unhurt.

SENNA CASE FINALLY CLOSES
The Italian court of appeal has closed the case surrounding Ayrton Senna's fatal crash at the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994. The court found that Adrian Newey, then Chief Designer at Williams was innocent of involuntary manslaughter, and dropped the case against Williams technical director Patrick Head.
