1961 DUTCH GRAND PRIX 50TH ANNIVERSARY The 1961 Dutch Grand Prix held at Zandvoort on the 22nd May is significant in F1 history as Wolfgang von Trips became the first German driver to win an F1 race. It was also the first F1 race in which every starter finished (this has only happened twice since: USA 2005 and Italy 2005) and featured no pit stops which contrasts with Turkey 2011 which featured a record-breaking 82 stops. | NEWS CORP INTERESTED IN F1 BUYOUT Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, along with Italian investment group EXOR, have confirmed that they are interested in taking over F1. EXOR are headed by John Elkann, chairman and chief executive of Ferrari’s parent company Fiat, and are controlled by the Agnelli family.
