F1 TO OUTLAW TRACTION CONTROL IN 2008 The FIA has approved the banning of traction control in Formula One from 2008. The move has the approval of all the F1 teams and will now be easier to police as standard ECU boxes are being supplied to the teams.

| MINARDI CONFIRM 2007 CHAMP CAR DRIVERS The Minardi Team USA Champ Car team have named their 2007 driver line up. Robert Doornbos and Dan Clarke will drive for the team this year. Clarke stays on from CTE Racing HVM, the team that Minardi bought.

FIA TO INVESTIGATE FLEXING FLOORS The FIA are to look at the floors of the Ferrari and BMW Sauber F1 cars that allegedly flex and could be considered as moveable devices. McLaren engineer Paddy Lowe brought the matter to the FIA's attention after requesting permission to apply the technology to their MP4-22. Click for Images

| VALENCIA GIVEN ALL CLEAR FOR STREET RACE PREPARATIONS Construction work is due to begin on a F1 standard street circuit to be built in Valencia after the Valencian Government gave the go ahead for the project. No F1 race has been green-lighted for Valencia at present but McLaren recently gave a demonstration around its streets.

| MICHELIN TO SUE FIA Michelin have launched legal proceedings against the FIA alleging "irregularities in the tender process" of sole tyre supply to the WRC. $1.6BN NEEDED TO DEVELOP F1 THEME PARKS Dubai-based company United Properties are to borrow $1.6bn to develop their planned F1 based theme parks. The first, in Dubai, will cost $360 million and a second is planned in Europe. This was confirmed by CEO Simon Azzam.
