Click for Images 20 December 2004 PI RESEARCH BOUGHT Champ Car and Cosworth owners Kevin Kalkhoven and Gerry Forsythe have bought PI Research from Ford. Pi Research and Cosworth came under the banner of the Premier Performance Division that was split up when Ford sold Jaguar Racing. Click for Images WILLIAMS TO SIGN HEIDFELD? According to reports within Williams BMW, Nick Heidfeld will be taken on by the team in 2005 although a race seat may not be guaranteed. Click for Images STEWART & FORD PARTNERSHIP DRAWS TO A CLOSE The 40-year association between Ford and Jackie Stewart will draw to a close at the end of the year. Stewart won his three F1 championships in Ford powered cars and began his F1 team with the company. Stewart is tipped to be an F1 consultant for the Royal Bank of Scotland. Click for Images A1 GP PLACE LARGEST ORDER The A1 Grand Prix Series has increased it's order from chassis manufacturer Lola from 30 to 50 cars due to demand. This makes it the largest single racing car order in the history of motorsport. Sauber also confirmed the end of their Red Bull Sponsorship deal. Midland is keen to sign Champ Car driver Mario Dominguez and a takeover could see the Mexican on the F1 grid with Jordan in 2005. Click for Images VODAFONE EXTENDS DEAL Vodafone has extended it's sponsorship deal with Ferrari for a further 2 years until the end of 2006. They have been a Ferrari sponsor since 2002.
