F1 SET TO RETURN TO GROUND EFFECT & TURBOS All-new F1 technical regulations are likely to see the re-introduction of ground effects and turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engines in 2013. FROM THE ARCHIVE: 1981 SAN MARINO GRAND PRIX Controversy surrounded the San Marino GP as ride heights became an issue after the banning of flexible skirts. Brabham's Nelson Piquet took the victory and it was the debut race for the Toleman team, but both cars failed to qualify.
