| TOMIZAWA KILLED IN MOTO2 CRASH
Japanese Moto2 rider Shoya Tomizawa has died following a high speed accident at Misano today that also involved Alex de Angelis and Scott Redding. Tomizawa was a rising star in the category taking victory in Qatar this season.

GPWEEK.COM EDITOR COMPETES AT BRANDS HATCH
GPWeek.com editor Adam Hay-Nicholls has competed in today's VW Scirocco R-Cup at Brands Hatch in the guest journalists car. Up against former F1 stars Martin Brundle, Johnny Herbert and Mark Blundell, Adam finished in 21st place.

F1 SET TO RETURN TO GROUND EFFECT & TURBOS
All-new F1 technical regulations are likely to see the re-introduction of ground effects and turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder engines in 2013. These were last seen in F1 during the 1980's but are being considered to boost the sports green credentials.

FROM THE ARCHIVE: 1981 SAN MARINO GRAND PRIX
Controversy surrounded the San Marino GP as ride heights became an issue after the banning of flexible skirts. Brabham's Nelson Piquet took the victory and it was the debut race for the Toleman team, but both cars failed to qualify. These photos, taken from the late David Phipps collection, have recently been scanned and digitally mastered exclusively for the Sutton Images online archive.
